Wie I begin a relationship with God?

Z extremely confess that you are a sinner. Then choose God's path of salvation by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior and inviting him into your life through prayer. Romans 10: 9-10 says that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For one is declared righteous if one believes with the heart; one is saved when one confesses 'the faith' with the mouth.

With a simple, honest prayer, you create the connection between you and God. Say this short prayer and Jesus will come into your life as He promised.

“God, I've lived without you so far.

I realized that I am a sinner.

Please forgive me for my debts.

I believe that Jesus died for me, for my sins on the cross

and became my Redeemer.

I am determined to live a new life with the power of the Holy Spirit.

Everything that I am and have I put in your hands.

You should lead my life.

Amen."

But you can also put this in your own words. As long as it comes from the heart, it is right.

C become hrist and then?

D u have accepted Jesus as your Savior. Congratulations on your best decision! But what's next? Here are a few steps you can use to orient yourself:

  • Read your Bible daily

This is nourishment for your mind. Psalm 119:11 says, “I have kept your word in my heart so that I will not sin against you.” It is important to spend time with God's word.

  • Pray every day

Talk to God and listen to what He says to you. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 exhorts us not to stop praying. It's an essential part of our growth as believers.

  • Spend time with other Christians

Do not live in isolation from the church. The Bible tells us not to miss our meetings, as some do (Hebrews 10:25). It is important to be integrated into a smaller group of Christians and to be connected to others. There is real preservation in that.

  • Listen to your spiritual leaders

Go to church and expect God to speak to you through the sermon. Hebrews 13:17 says: “Listen to those responsible in your church and follow their instructions! Because they watch over you 'like shepherds over the flock entrusted to them' and will one day have to give an account of their service to God. Become part of a strong community that believes the Bible and does what God's Word says.
